This masterclass is designed for acoustic guitars, feel free to bring your own guitar (participants are responsible for their own guitars and no liability or insurance is provided by The Gateway Cinema, Labels, Gordon Giltrap or any other party in any instance of loss or damage), however, this is not essential. This masterclass will be done as a group but there will be an opportunity to ask questions and advice on your own technique.
Over the past forty years, Gordon Giltrap has graced the music business with his dedication to his craft and affection for his audience.
Over the years, Gordon has worked with a broad range of artists, from rock musicians such as Brian May, Rick Wakemen and Midge Ure to the the jazz virtuoso Martin Taylor and in 1996 realising a dream of playing guitar along side Sir Cliff Richard.
In 2009 Gordon was approached by the major musical instrument company to produce a Gordon Giltrap Signature Guitar- The Vintage VE 2000 GG signature guitar was born. The guitar went on to be voted as Acoustic Guitar of the Year by the Music Industry Association.
In 2019 Gordon was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to music and charity.
